That's Sir John Houghton, who chaired early versions of the IPCC.
He is currently associated with the John Ray Initiative, a fine Christian organization in the UK:

I agree that it would be much more constructive if people like the JRI could have input into Attenborough's new project.
John Haught is a Roman Catholic theologian who has written about science and faith from a fairly "liberal" perspective. He might fit into that other thread today where people were looking for a "deistic evolution" position ...
