Michael makes a good point. I've always thought that the Darwin Sunday was a
bit silly, for reasons similar to those already expressed by others. But the
Centennial year does provide an unusual opportunity to emphasize to church
groups that evolution is not "opposed" to Christianity. And the 500th
anniversary of Calvin also is an excuse to point out that Darwin's earliest supporters
were conservative Christians of a Reformed bent -- not the so-called
"liberals". I'm with Michael in saying - Why pass up a golden opportunity ?

And by the way Michael, nice smiling picture with the Fulcrum article. The
lighting almost makes it look like there must be a halo illuminating your face
! You don't look anything like what I imagined.
