Very good point. I wonder how the numbers of believers compare in other professions with similar time and, for want of a better word, ego demands. Would the most elite lawyers or college administrators (in non-religious colleges) or stockbrockers report something similiar?

My semi-informed guess is that this sort of self-selection is the biggest reason for the disparity in the numbers."
