Who can argue against teaching the truth? No one. The interesting thing is what they think the truth is- and what lies are (lies like the universe being billions of years old and that humans evolved from an apelike creatures).

But even the ASA doesn't have a position against YEC, so maybe it is true? ;-)

OK, then do something about it. Write a succinct letter to the editor
pointing out why this is baloney. Among other things it might be noted that the countries that are way ahead of us
in science ed teach evolution without any of the qualifications and doubts that have been foisted on US teachers.
