Science, at its best, is an endless quest for physical connections.
Nothing more. Nothing less.

corollary thought: 'Awe' and 'Wonder' are indulgences which many of
scientific bent engage in, and rightly so --as this is true of anyone
with any life of mind; but the pure essence of these activities is to
reach possibly beyond science for something not yet grasped; whether
permanently so or temporarily so. And to indulge in this is no kind of
'gap-worship'; as if the connections we have already made represent any
kind of complete physical understanding shorn of any new frontiers, let
alone other understandings through the eyes of other disciplines.
