A prominent astrophysicist and I have been exchanging enjoyable emails. [I
sent him a list of errors (mostly nits) in his most recent book and got his
attention.] He is another person that publicly speaks of the idea that God
is becoming less and less viable since knowledge and understanding have
replaced explanations that were once attributed to Him. His argument is
invalid, but I am only focusing on his Flat Earth view at the moment.
Therefore, I am requesting some help regarding claims that Christianity held
a flat Earth view (post 12th century). I'm looking for some references to
the contrary.
He also claims the Bible says Paul in Revelations (ha!) climbed a tall tree
and saw the edges of the Earth. I there any related verse about this?
I recall that the flat-Earth view of Christianity mainly initiated from an
author that fabricated the story, and that it was debunked. He is adamant
to the contrary.
