Do you think some kids can be mentally tormented by their parents, as a form of child abuse? If so, how is that investigated by science, as you claim?

Whether it is cruel is largely a subjective judgment call. Dawkins goes
further and labels it child abuse. Child abuse is something that can be and
has been investigated by science. And it does not support his claim.
