I thought it was funny that Dick should say "If you don't trust the
Bible" because it was Dick that said he thought the flood was very short
in duration compared to the literal reading which says the flood lasted
a year.

I made no such assertion, Dick.

Nor will I ask you "have you stopped beating your wife?"

That there have been floods appears to be w/o question.

That the Genesis flood was inspired by such appears probable.

But that's not history, anymore than Mark Twain's book is -- it, too,
was patterned after things that went on in tjhose days.
