There is a subtle difference between the two "accusations". One is
that YEC and ID shop for evidence. That's unfair in my opinion as I
see no evidence for this. Furthermore, we are all susceptible to
ascertainment bias. The other is they don't offer a positive theory
-- more so ID than YEC -- for their positions. My "accusation" comes
from a long time pondering of why climate change skepticism and YEC/ID
tend to go together. YEC/ID are generally skeptical of science-in-
general and thus are more comfortable shooting holes in existing
theories rather than working to improve them. My apologies to the list
for using the so's your old man argument.
