This is simply false & it's pointless to go on to discuss the rest of what he says. Dembski of course wants to appear reasonable, open to dialogue &c but in fact avoid discussions with proponents of TE of the theology behind ID & its theological implications, often with assertions that ID has nothing to do with religion. At the same time they are quite happy to talk about ID as support for their own religious views when talking with those who are like minded - i.e., anti-evolutionists. & Dembski has been as guilty as anyone in doing this. He made this same sort of noise at the symposium on ID at the ASA meeting a few years ago & then did things like give the O'Leary woman protected status on UcD to attack ASA.

There is no point in continuing to pretend that Dembski & other ID partisans wants fair & honest discussion of ID. Let the dead bury their dead. ID has been going downhill ever since the Dover trial & anyone who cares about either good science or good theology should limit involvement with it to giving it a further push when the occasion allows it.
