I also think that the autos running at 2050 will be smaller yet--even
moped variety for individual travelers. We already had 100mpg mopeds
decades ago --I imagine that electrifying one of those (I'm sure they
have) must make for better energy efficiency yet. By then I hope the
U.S. would be over its love affair with hurtling massive piles of glass
and steel around the countryside just to get one person some place.
