First Cellulosic Ethanol Plant in the US
The first demonstration-scale cellulosic ethanol plant in the United States
is now open! The verenium biorefinery in Jennings, Louisiana, will produce
1.4 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol a year with agricultural waste
left over after sugarcane production.

I found out about Coskata because my former employer has invested in it.
Essentially they claim to be able to make ethanol from waste products and
sources like switchgrass for $1.00/gallon. Here's a link to their web site.
