I'm late in this discussion and haven't read all that went before,
but...
Embryology IS Christian embryology in as much as it reflects God's
world.
I don't know if this is exactly what Ted is saying, but the notion of
common grace and the common operation of the Holy Spirit and a
doctrine of Creation, etc. suggests that truth "after a fashion" (to
use C. Van Til's words) are accessible to all--not just believers.
Understanding the relationship of things to the Creator and His word
are essential for grasping Truth in an ultimate sense.
I don't think that this denies the gist of David's point about the
ontological status of the human embryo needing to be part of a
embryological science.
