That's the first rule of science, as I was taught it at Carnegie Tech eons ago.
"First of all, consider ALL the evidence and arguments."
When one does this, many many seemingly simple issues turn out to be
very very complex.
That does not mean one can sit on the fence forever, of course! But
when one has done the necessary study, it is easier to respect those
with whom you differ.
