Gary E. Parker has been a well known YEC for a couple of decades.
Formerly he was at the Institute of Creation Research. I understand he
is at present with Answers in Genesis. He has an Ed . D. degree from
Ball State. The book mentioned is an updated and revised (2006) version
of an earlier book

> Dr. Parker holds a doctorate in biology with a cognate in geology (paleontology). He has earned academic awards, including a Science Faculty Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. He taught evolution "enthusiastically" at a respected university. He believed he was ridding his students of "pre-scientific superstitions, such as Christianity." Through a Bible study led by a chemistry professor at the university, Dr. Parker discovered that the errors he tried to point out were his errors. After re-examining the evidence over the next three years, he concluded that the Biblical framework is the more logical inference from scientific observations. In an easy-to-understand manner, Dr. Parker covers DNA, embryo development, fossils, "early man," symbiosis, genetics, and other topics that are critical to the creation/evolution debate.
