Although my research focuses on mollusks, general interest in
paleontology plus the experience of digging up and helping prepare a
set of Triassic reptiles (rauisuchian, mostly complete but very little
skull; crocodilian nearly intact except for one shoulder, probably in
the rauisuchian; bits and pieces of several other types of
contemporary reptiles, largely stomach contents of the rauisuchian)
gives me a good background in these. Currently, I also have to review
all of them in order to answer questions from a three-year-old, who
has been pretending to be representatives of many of these clades
within the past few days.
