My friend Bill belongs to a fundamentalist branch (not the MOST
fundamentalist) of the Presbyterian Church. I belong to the PCUSA,
which came to its senses about 30 years ago on this subject.

My wife received God's call to ministry as a college student way back
in the 50s. But there was no avenue available for her at that time. 50
years later she went to seminary and received her MDiv degree,
subsequently serving for over two years in a Colorado PCUSA church.

He dad, a godly PCUSA elder, fought AGAINST women in ministry to his
dying day. It was about the only doctrine on which he was wrong.
Otherwise he was a great guy and a strong influence on my accepting
Christ.
