Bernie,

Part of the problem with this whole debate is the definition of inerrancy.
Most texts define it as "The Bible contains no error *in what it teaches".
*The question becomes "what does the Bible teach"? As long as we can't
agree on whether the Bible is teaching a literal 7 day creation, or whether
that is simply an incidental form to convey teaching about who God is, then
debating about whether it is inerrant or not becomes a moot point.
