I would say that he is recognizing the ambiguity of most survey questions.
For example, do I believe that God created? Yes. Do I believe that man
evolved? Yes. Do I believe that God guided development? Yes. Do I accept
natural selection, mutation, duplication, etc.? Yes. Depending on what is
asked first or emphasized, I may be classified as YEC, OEC, TE, or even an
adherent to scientism. Dave (ASA)
