RE: [asa] On telling the truth about science

"If they commit adultery , fraud, kids porn etc it is not surprising
that they lie at times."

Maybe even worst is killing or persecuting in the name of Christ.
Christian Zionism comes to mind. Jesus said to love and pray for our
enemies; some Christians are out there looking to instead kill our
enemies.

Steve

Unless you hold to a warped view of Perfectionism, which Wesley did not,
then you will hold that all Christians do sin and at times badly. If
they
commit adultery , fraud, kids porn etc it is not surprising that they
lie at
times. Or should I say we. And of course all the other sins which
afflict
us.

Perhaps another reason why some come out with terminological
inexactitudes
on science (expression by an Anglo-American - Churchill in Parliament
when
he had to retract a charge of lying ), is that we may hold our beliefs
etc
with Pride in the sinful way and thus reject any criticism.

This is why I consider that a period of confession is essential in
almost
every act of Christian worship.

Perhaps some churches kept quiet over childabuse by clergy for
teambuilding
strategy? Also over adultery

Not all will want to grasp this
