Isn't there another case of non-biological ID (or intelligent design - i+d) worth discussing? It seems that Vernon's case depends highly on theological rather than on scientific 'knowledge.' Still, the 'truth' of the meaning of 'design' is not what is being questioned.
Set design, costume design, architectural design, computer design, interior design, etc. - don't these all count as cases of non-biological i+d?
Of course, argue the intelligence as you choose.
