The EU has lots of faults but not as bad as the US govt with their idea of policing the world and making things worse as in Iraq , not to mention the White House's alteration of scientific documents on global warming etc.
Anyway this list could do without extreme political nonsense

Michael -- not to comment one way or the other about Freerepublic or the extreme libertarian view generally, but as a Brit are you really that sanguine about the EU? Do you really want a handful of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels to decide what can or can't be taught to schoolkids throughout the U.K.?
