Exactly. The "transitional form" claim of the YECs is extremely
misleading. They refuse to recognize that all animals in the fossil record
are transitional forms. They therefore define a transitional form as "an
animal having characteristics of different *known* forms." How convenient.
That way, any new find that would fit that criterion would automatically be
eliminated and called a known form. Now that we have Archaeopteryx the YECs
are wondering what came between it and a reptile.
