While this is an ad hominem argument nevertheless this is what people do,
viz. evaluate truth claims based on the character of the proponents. The
problem goes from bad to worse because people won't stop there and will
accrue this to Christianity in general. You can replace ID with Christianity
and the comment applies mutatis mutandi:

Perhaps the strongest argument against any kind of Christianity is the
charming behavior of Dembski O'Leary and Nelson.

This is totally unacceptable and suggests the wide ranging damage such
behavior has. N.B., ID does not have a monopoly on this.
