There are certainly parallels between the use of scientific jargon (or
imitations thereof) in some science fiction and in creation
science-merely corroborative detail, intended to provide
verisimilitude. Sounds impressive to the ordinary audience, but gets
a laugh out of someone who knows what they actually mean (e.g., when
four of us geology grad students went to see Jurassic Park, or when
Captain Kirk is alive after Khan put him in a near-vacuum based on the
units on the dial).
Another type of "science fiction" can also be closely similar to much
creation science. It's the type that anyone who has taught science
encounters while grading exams. Someone thinks they know what the
answer should be and that certain words are relevant terms but doesn't
really know what they mean.
