You got it backwards. We object to ID because it misapplies information
theory. You quoted an IEEE paper which noted the application of information
theory in the biological realm. So, the mere intersection of these does not
make it controversial. ID misapplies this and in my opinion this is one
reason -- I am not denying there are not others here -- that it has trouble
being published. Neither Randy or I are information theory experts although
Randy did quote a distinguished expert. But even our journeyman's knowledge
exposed that ID is overextended here.
