Re: [asa] Conservapedia

Interesting ... doing a Google on some of the text reveals that it has been
adapted largely from what is evidently a satirical website:

http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/

The differences between the texts are subtle, e.g. the original says:

An intelligent and inquisitive being (it has the largest brain-to-body ratio
for any mollusk), the tree octopus explores its arboreal world by both touch
and sight. Adaptations its ancestors originally evolved in the three
dimensional environment of the sea have been put to good use in the
spatially complex maze of the coniferous Olympic
rainforests<http://www.highvibrations.com/wrf.html>
.

Conservapedia states:

An intelligent and inquisitive being (it has the largest brain-to-body ratio
for any mollusc<http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=Mollusc&action=edit>),
the tree octopus explores its arboreal world by both touch and sight.
Adaptations designed for the three dimensional environment have been put to
good use in the spatially complex maze of the coniferous Olympic
rainforests.

Note how references to "evolved" have been replaced by "designed
adaptations".

Clearly it's a spoof of a spoof, probably put there by a Libtard. The most
delightful exhibit on the original site is the invitation to show your
support for the Tree Octopus by displaying a pink tentacle ribbon on your
web-page. Wonder if you can get a T-shirt.

(This last is not my term but one I found on a blog stating that the
beloved conservapedia had been corrupted by Libtards). That sort of term
reminds me of a certain frequent poster to this list who shall remain
nameless ...
