I think you have misunderstood. I am, as I see it, fulfilling my calling.
I see your accusation as similar to asking the Apostle Paul why he didn't
go to the Parthians or Goths. I have not done what I thought I should do
when I was 16. That door was firmly shut by a physical problem. My path
since has taken unexpected, sometimes painful, turns. Things I didn't
understand, I now see why, at least in part. Will my task change? I don't
know, but I'm rather old for much change before I'm called home.

As for respect, those who are RIGHT seldom have much consideration for
those who do not share their opinion. To act otherwise demands that the
others may have something relevant to consider, and the RIGHT do not want
to be subject to alternative persuasion. But I have seen a change. I
think of a philosophy department that had no use for religion when I was
coming up that has had a Christian chair and a Christian professor.
Another that determined that no evangelical would get a degree there now
has a devout evangelical professor. Evangelicals in many fields are now
recognized for their scholarship.
