Forum,

In an email dated 22/11/06 I sought to stimulate discussion on a matter which, as one might fairly suppose, would interest all Christians - and, particularly, the theologians among us. It concerned the perceived status of the Bible's last Book, Revelation.

Of course, this Book has a chequered history, and for a long time was denied its present canonical status in the Western Church. However, in our Bibles, we observe (1:1-3) it appears with impressive credentials - and with a dire warning (22:18,19) to those who, seemingly, would prefer to remain ignorant of its contents and of its express and implied obligations. It is clear to me that 13:18 both justifies and supports my investigations in the realm of bible numerics, and with the consequent belief that the J-C Scriptures, in their original tongues, represent a self-authenticating Text.

My further thoughts on these matters may be found at www.whatabeginning.com/ObDec
