David,

In general, I would ask that discussion about my "pronouncements" be
conducted off-list. But, I will answer your question on the list.
Please read my post carefully. It starts with "I...don't really
question the legitimacy..." So I don't have a problem with most of
what has been discussed. However, we are moving into political
rhetoric about "right" and "left" and it's getting disconnected from
global warming. That's what I'm complaining about.
