The reason why a lot of people deny the evidence for global warming &/or
refuse to deny anything about it is that they don't want to have to make
some changes that might in the short run be uncomfortable, inconvenient,
unprofitable &c. They want to continue to think that life will continue as
is. As Rush Limbaugh has sometimes told his sycophants about environmental
matters, "Folks, you don't have to change your lifestyle."
