Re: [asa] Rare Earth hypothesis (and it's theological implication)

I would say that the Book of Nature is telling us that both continency
and fine-tuning are involved. This is consistent with God creating the
heavens and the earth but it is not evidence that he has done so.
Neither is it evidence that he has not done so. Our belief that God did
in fact create the heavens and the earth is based on the Book of
Scripture as well as the Book of Nature. Thus I concur with Conway
Morris. Despite the contingency there is also convergence, consistent
with a divine plan.
