God likes immensity and diversity? Certainly the latter seems to be a
message of creation.

If God is maximizing the role of natural processes in creation, the
universe would need to be big enough to sustain enough star formation
and explosion to create and disperse an adequate supply of heavy
elements for life. This might require a certain immensity in order to
have the right balance between gravity and dark energy to have
habitable planets forming and lasting long enough. However, a sample
size of one universe with one known example of life appearing doesn't
allow much in the way of statistically supported conclusions.
