Comment is called for and it ought to go to the Yale Daily News. I'll check
the link to see if letters to the editor are possible by email. The slanders
in this statement of Wells should not go unanswered. He has misrepresented
Evolution Sunday and its purpose, biological evolution, used the usual
"Darwinism" ploy, and insinuates that the clergy who may preach on
"Evolution Sunday" will not highlight the doctrine of creation. All in all,
quite a good trashing.
I'll show this to my wife, who knew Wells when he was a graduate student in
religious studies at Yale.
