Mild McCarthyism. IIRR, Power struggles in science do not
involve amorphous blobs of "them". They involve an easily
countable number of people with names (typically on one hand
and certainly no more than both). Their arguments/data/model
can certainly be examined critically.

Certainly, finding a sensible policy to deal with the issue in
accordance with its severity and compared with other pressing
matters, I can find some reason for discussion here. For example,
should we encourage stewardship by using encouragement (with
incentives) or "coercion" (regulations) for example. You are certainly
welcome to object to a policy that does exempts China and
India to the same economic load that the rest of the developed
world must endure. But let's focus on the science and what is
good policy and refrain from thoroughly bankrupt expression about
"political correctness" and "McCarthyism". They add nothing
productive or informative to the discussion.
