Re: [asa] Is Peer-Review the Be All and End All of Science?

Peer review seems to be something we can't live with and
can't live without. Yet despite its failings, cold fusion
was found to be wrong, and continental drift was found to
be right.

Regardless of the deeds of individual peer reviewers,
the final arbiter is still the truth itself. The truth methodically
wears towering mountains down to fine clay.

However, the "great towering mountain of falsehoods" that seems
more likely to be reduced to clay is anti-evolution. On the brighter
side, the right kind of clay yields a fine china.

by Grace we proceed,
