I'd identify his argument as based on the laws of nature, i.e. a fine-tuning
argument, and convergent evolution as his major example of a consequence of
those laws.

I had in mind primarily the antievolutionary claims that convergence is
either a lame excuse made by evolutionists or evidence for separate creation
of lineages.
