As (apparently) reported in the Dallas News:

ICR Inaugurates Center with RATE Conference
DALLAS—"If people spent more time looking at the data…they might be
pleasantly surprised," commented Ken Embry, a retired engineer who spoke
to reporter Sam Hodges of The Dallas Morning News after the
“Thousands…Not Billions” conference on September 30.

The fourth of its kind since last November, ICR’s RATE conference
detailed the evidences for a young earth based upon an 8-year study on
radiometric dating methods and results.

Nearly 700 attended the conference at the Criswell Center on the campus
of First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas, the first event in the new
facility. Speakers included Drs. Baumgardner, Humphreys, Morris (III),
Snelling, and Vardiman.

Don Pitman, a linguist and Bible translator, told the News in an
interview, “I think the research that has been done is top-notch, very
professional," he said. "It really supports what the Bible says, that God
is the Creator and all of this didn't just come from nothing."

I find it heartening that the attendance was only 700. The Criswell
Center, I believe, can hold a lot more than that.
