Thank you for confirming this, Randy. Probably the book should then be titled "Evolution Dialogues" without the article 'The,' which implies some kind of totality or completeness, when in fact, significant spheres of knowledge related to evolutionary thought are absent. Add evolutionary philosophy and evolutionary (c.f. process) theology to the mix and evolutionary economics, evolutionary psychology, evolutionary sociology, and evolutionary anthropology make an exciting topic for interdisciplinary discussion. Unfortunately, these fields don't seem to concern ASA either.

It is noteworthy in comparison that I don't discuss the age of the earth or the fossil record in my scholarly work. Although, as it relates to Ted's idea of evolution being 'the new creation story,' definitely a book on evolution should include those things.

No. Well, a little bit of paleoanthropology. The subtitle of the book is "Science, Christianity, and the Quest for Understanding." I objected that there was virtually no discussion of the age of the earth or of the fossil record. She did add some of it but not very much.

Did the text include any discussion of evolutionary theories in sociology, psychology, anthropology, or economics?
