To Vernon:
Neither Evolution or the Bible should be yours or anybody else's master. God
should be your master, through our savior Jesus Christ.
One does not serve evolution nor does one serve the Bible by believing in
it. Thre are those who make the study their lives to the point of serving
it - by abandoning all else for it. The first and second commandments are to
love God and love one another - we are to follow the scriptures, not serve
them.
One can believe in many things and study many things and it has no reference
to the verse you quoted. I study the Bible, ancient history, physics of the
cosmos and the National Electrical Code. I believe most of what I read. This
does not mean that I am not a good Christian - in fact, to say - "Oh she
serves the National Electric Code, she isn't serving God "- is bizarre.
