You might want to take a look at the newly created Archaeology topic on
the ASA web page. There are references to ASA articles and a short
review of an excellent
book by Ted Davis's brother who is a professional in the field.

I suspect that there are few if any ASA members who are still working in
the field. Evangelicals are generally not welcome.
