Perhaps we can hear someone's operational definition of science so that we all know what science is and what it is not.

Michael,

We all know where Moorad stands on this issue and, whether he knows
it or not or likes it or not, hardly anyone on the list agrees with
him. He has an extraordinarily limited view of what science is. It
doesn't appear that with all our efforts over the years that we are
going to change his mind.

Giving up with respect to Moorad on this issue is probably
appropriate. And I don't think we need to belabor the debate with
him. However, I do think that there is value in steadfastly refuting
his viewpoint for the sake of other readers and newcomers--from time
to time. Not much needs to be said--perhaps even links to archived
posts that fully make the point would be adequate.
