You have it almost right. One descendent of that intelligent dino
survived and this year its descendent, an intelligent flicker, has
decided to attack my cabin here in the Colorado woods, And she is good at
it.
When I first boarded up the hole, she flew around for an hour swearing
(in flicker language) at me in language a drunken sailor would blush at.
Then she started a new hole.
