I think we need to be a bit careful with that last point Burgy. The fact
that homosexual orientation is indeed non-volitional is primarily anecdotal.
I.e., that's how many persons who understand themselves to be homosexual
describe their experience.
Anecdotal evidence (i.e., reports of uncontrolled observations by
non-experts) is never ideal. But sometimes it's all we have, & some
anecdotal evidence is better than others.
Up to the early nineteenth century astronomers refuised to accept reports by
peasants & other untrained observers that stones had fallen from the sky. I
think it wasn't till around 1830 that well confirmed metorite falls
convinced them that it does sometimes happen.
