For those that want to gain some perspective, I recommend the article,
Accepting What Cannot Be Changed, by David G. Myers. I did a search
and found it at this site:

http://www.davidmyers.org/Brix?pageID=90

Myers is a psychology professor at Hope College in Holland
Michigan. The article is fairly short, well-written and contains some
original thoughts. For example, he makes the point that unlike sexual
behavior and other moral tendencies, sexual orientation does not
appear to be affected by active faith. On the down side, it is written
for a general audience so there is not as much documentation as some
would like.
