No, the Levitical prohibitions. If you look up the meaning of alien in
ancient times, it is not the same as today. Cities had citizens and alien sojourners
(with specific permission) had their quarter.

But I'm not sure i'm getting your point. You can no longer quote any biblical
book against another to support a historical argument without knowing its
history and provenance, its place in the overall scheme of the books of the bible.
There is no "contra Finkelstein." His book is about what the archeology
informs us (it is not a contest of quotes) about Israel's history and how the bible
came about.

My point is that religion is real and at work today just as the
centralization of agriculture is in genesis and in the dust bowl.
