Glenn, be careful here because now you are making the "all or nothing"
fallacy. You say that either God wanted to remove our doubts or else He doesn't
care about us. That's "all or nothing."

You can't argue against the fact that God could have given us more evidence
than He did. He really could have written human words into the pattern of
mineral grains in every rock. It should be completely obvious to us that God has
reasons for not making His presence more obvious. I think we can conclude that
it is a part of His plan to reach men through a process that involves moral
reflection and repentence, not primarily or exclusively scientific evidence.
