I appreciate a lot of what Hugh Ross does. However many of his claims of
finding modern science taught in the Bible are far from convincing. In
passages such as Isaiah 42:5 and 44:24 stretching out the heavens is
coupled with spreading out the earth. If stretching out the heavens is the
expanding universe, what is the spreading out of the earth? Claims of
Bible verses teaching modern science would be much more credible if these
interpretations had predated the scientific discoveries.
