Why would the seamlessness be surprising. The creation looking billions
of years old but only 6K old does not show up empirically. You have to
remember that God is omnipotent, capable of any miracle. You keep looking
for empirical evidence, but the only evidence is in scripture. Looking
elsewhere is heresy.

I continue to learn some amazing physics from this book. Now it seems
that
the coupling constant for the strong force is variable not only in time
(for
only the year of Noah's flood) but it varies with different nuclei. As a
result, C-14 atoms didn't have an accelerated decay constant in the past
while uranium, etc. did. And stable atoms remained stable. The unstable
radioactive elements had varying degrees of change to yield the observed
abundances today.
Added to this amazing story is the seamless transition
between these states. We cannot find even a feeble whimper
of an indication that it ever happened from any physical data.
An entire year of catastrophic changes, yet everything appears
as though it had been gradually depositing over millions of
years. Nothing in the red shift, no signals whatever to support
it. Indeed, fascinating physics.
It is by Grace that we don't sink into a bog of
muddle and delusion.
