Some people think that Minoa was so advanced, that had the Volcano waited to
errupt, they may have made it to the moon centuries ago. They had hot and
cold running water in 1600 BCE, and flush toilets and volcano erruption
predictive mechanisms. However, they did not have God.
Was the destruction of Minoa an act of God? Was it a response similar to the
tower of Babel, but violent due to the fact that they were idolaters?
I've been trying to think of an act of nature destruction of a whole
civilization in the Christian era - haven't come up with one, but my history
is rusty. Certainly, we had the Tsunami, but it didn't wipe out whole
countries or civilizations did it?
